Altınbaş University, which received its first students in the 2011-2012 academic year, is growing rapidly on its way to becoming an international research university with the breakthroughs it has made in a short time. In the 2017-2018 academic year, Altınbaş University, which includes 10 faculties, 4 institutes, and 3 vocational schools, continues its education with a total of 32 undergraduate, 34 associate degree, 29 graduate and 6 doctoral programs. At Altınbaş University, departments are determined with the vision of being an entrepreneurial and innovative university that makes a difference in the professional field with its graduates, adds value to universal science, and analyzes the needs of the world and Turkey well.

Our University, which follows the education agenda and technology and constantly updates itself; It continues to serve with the mission of being a solution-oriented university, providing free research opportunity and environment, and making original contributions with a sense of social responsibility.

Altınbaş University Faculty of Dentistry started its education and training life in the 2016-2017 academic year, together with the Dental Hospital within its body. The language of instruction is 30% English and 70% Turkish. The difference of Altınbaş University Faculty of Dentistry, which follows a parallel program with international education systems, is self-confident with its dynamic, innovative and researcher academic staff, looks at life from a broad perspective, is compatible with the age of information and technology, has a developed sense of professionalism and ethics, is inquisitive, analytical, It aims to train bright dentists of the new century with scientific and emotional intelligence. Our faculty, which serves in a multicultural environment with its international students, rapidly transfers current scientific and technological developments to education and training life. Faculty of Dentistry faculty members think that every young person has the right to quality higher education and they work to provide our students with all the necessary opportunities for quality. Our faculty is a member of the European Association of Dental Education Association and keeps up to date with the innovations in dentistry education. The courses in the education program have been prepared by taking into account the competencies that a graduate dentist of the European Association of Dentistry Education should have. Bakırköy Health Campus, where the Faculties of Dentistry, Medicine, Pharmacy and Health Vocational School are together, has an area of 40.000 m2 and the theoretical and practical education and training of our faculty are carried out in this campus. In our faculty, which also provides master's and doctoral education, there is a student-centered education approach with small groups applied and problem-solving within the framework of the principles of evidence-based dentistry, and all these processes are carried out in a qualified and state-of-the-art infrastructure. In our faculty, which continues its education and training with 10 professors, 2 associate professors and 15 assistant professors who are experts in their fields, there is 1 faculty member for every two students. Preclinical student training is carried out in state-of-the-art phantom and preclinical laboratories. During their education, students are given 1 unit and a phantom.

In their clinical training, indirect working methods are taught with the use of microscope and loop. Theoretical lessons are held in 4 lecture halls for 120 people and 9 classrooms for 65 people. Within Altınbaş University Mahmutbey Campus and at the Faculty of Dentistry (Bakırköy Campus), there are library facilities that allow detailed and comprehensive research to be done and access to all information centers in the world with a single password. Following a parallel program with international education systems, Istanbul Altınbaş University Faculty of Dentistry aims to become one of Turkey's leading Dentistry Faculties in education, research and patient care services with its national and international students from different backgrounds and ethnic cultures.
